Branimir "Bran" Dragovicz

Branimir Dragovicz, aka Bran, came from Mezhkraya, the fragmented kingdoms between the Siverna and the eastern reaches. The region produced two reliable exports: timber and mercenaries. Bran was not the timber. He learned to fight young in market squares, in stable yards, in the alleys behind grain stores where boys settled disputes with whatever came to hand. His size arrived early. By his middle teens, he was taller than most grown men in his settlement. The size filled out, and the speed came with it, and the two together made him something the local fighting circuits had not seen before. He took his first paid contract at seventeen. By thirty, he was the most expensive mercenary working between the Siverna and the eastern valleys, because Branimir Dragovicz had never lost a fight. He fought face-to-face.
